Kyiv City Council plans to offer material assistance to families of dead Kyiv participants in ATO instead of land

On January 15, the deputies of the Kyiv City Council supported the draft decision, which provides for the provision of a material payment to the families of the dead Kyiv participants in ATO instead of land. About this informs the press service of Kyiv City Council.

The mayor’s office said that today land reserves are limited in Kyiv; therefore the executive and local authorities are not able to meet the necessary needs for obtaining land.

“Families of the dead Kyiv participants in the ATO will be able to choose: land in the city, guaranteed by the state, or material assistance. A payment of 400 subsistence minimums is envisaged. As of December 1, 2018, this amounted to UAH 768 thousand,” the message says.

The report notes that the implementation of the draft decision will be carried out at the expense of the city budget. In turn, to consider issues related to the payment of material assistance there will be a special commission that will work with each of the district administrations of the capital.
It is noted that the corresponding draft decision should be considered at one of the plenary meetings of the Kyiv City Council.

Earlier “Journalist” reported that in Zaporozhia region to ATO veterans gave out more than 2.6 thousand land plots.
