Kyiv City Council allowed to demolish ten buildings on Kyiv Zoo territory

Buildings reserved for demolition as part of the reconstruction of the zoo. About this informs the press service of the Kyiv City Council.

It is reported that 10 buildings will be demolished on the territory of Kyiv zoo as part of reconstruction. The draft decision on the demolition has already been published on site of the Kiev Council.

It is noted that the following buildings will be dismantled: administrative building of 1910, building of young naturalists, main entrance to the zoo, bridge, fountain No. 1, hut of pelicans, ibis enclosure, primate building, otter house, water meter unit and the unfinished building of great apes.
In Kyiv City Council they clarified that the buildings planned for demolition are not monuments of state or local importance. In turn, Kyiv zoo arboretum is a monument of landscape gardening art and an object of the cultural heritage of Kyiv, it is not planned to be demolished or moved to another place.

Earlier “Journalist” reported that Ukraine was allowed to design playgrounds on low roofs buildings.
