The Kramatorsk airfield for co-deployment of military and civil aviation does not serve passengers currently. But it is planned the construction and development of the airport at the site of the airfield until 2021, according to the data of the draft Plan of the perspective development of the Donetsk oblast for 2019-2021, 1News reports.
In particular, the plan for the long-term development of the Donetsk oblast for 2019–2021 envisages the construction of the Kramatorsk airport, which will be equipped with modern technology, a reconstructed terminal, a runway, platformы and the station square will appear there.
The construction of the airport will create new jobs, provide conveniences and increase travel speed for the population of the oblast, noted in the Donetsk Oblast Administration.
In addition, the airport will enhance the oblast’s investment appeal.
