Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine warned about the responsibility for the illegal sale and purchase of primroses listed in Red Book. About this reports press service of the ministry on the page on Facebook.
“Ukrainian environmentalists urge not to buy spring primroses, which will significantly reduce demand. Almost all spring forest flowers in Ukraine were on the verge of extinction,” the message says.
The ministry reminded that for the illegal purchase and sale of flowers from the Red Book of Ukraine, a penalty of 510 to 1,700 hryvnias with confiscation of plants is provided.
"In addition, for one copy of an illegally mined plant, appropriate compensation is provided for its destruction: snowdrops – from 49 to 62 hryvnias, wild garlic (bear bow) – 62 hryvnias, crocuses (crocuses), grass sleep – from 37 to 62 hryvnias depending on the species, "- noted in the department.
