The Odessa city authorities plan to create a complex of medical care services for the homeless, said the Director of the Department of labor and social policy of the Odessa City Council, Olena Kytayskaya.
According to her, the complex will be established on the basis of the regional AIDS center, located on the Khimichna st.
«The condition of these citizens is such, that they need to undergo sanitation procedures first, then they will be provided with medical care,» – she said.
The project of the complex has already been developed, writes the «Vikna Odesa» publication. As noted by Olena Kytayskaya, since the beginning of the year and till September 1st, 758 people without a permanent dwelling were registered in the city center for the registration of homeless citizens. In total, almost 10 thousand people were registered.
