On the eve of July 23rd in Paris one of the founders of the international women’s movement Femen Oksana Shachko committed suicide.
This is reported by the Telegram-channel Paris Burns, which is run by Shachko’s friend.
It is known that Shachko left a note in English, where she turned to the Parisian bohemia with the words «you are all a fake».
«French police took her body to the examination. I happened to see and communicate with Oksana in Paris. Several times she came to our squat (squat – an abandoned room or house, populated, as a rule, without the consent of the owner – ed.). We tried to get her out for events, but the Parisian bohemia swallowed her. Oksana had many exhibitions, press attention, rich friends. Over the past 2 years, she tried to commit suicide twice. The third attempt, unfortunately, was successful», the report said.
It is also reported that the examination will determine exactly when Shachko committed suicide (hanged herself), because she was last seen on Friday, July 20th.
