Government will discuss the draft of National Waste Management Plan until 2030

According to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine (MNRE) website, on August 16 will be held the first meeting of the Coordinating Council on the implementation of the National Waste Management Strategy in Ukraine until 2030.
The meeting will be held in the hall of Government Committees of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
As part of the event, Government representatives will discuss the draft of the National Plan, which was previously prepared by the Ministry of Natural Resources together with international experts.

«National and regional waste management plans are concrete steps in implementing the National Waste Management Strategy of Ukraine. They are mandatory to be implemented, in accordance with Ukraine’s obligations to the EU. Their main task is to establish in practice centralized waste management based on the first strategic document of the national level,» – the report said.

Note, that the Coordination Council on the implementation of the National Waste Management Strategy in Ukraine until 2030 was formed in April this year, according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of 25.04.2018 No. 313.
