Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers has envisaged UAH 55 billion in the draft state budget for 2019 for subsidies for the population, UNIAN inform agency reported.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that there were 6.9 million households receiving a subsidy this year. According to forecasts this figure will remain approximately the same next year. It is noted that the increase in gas prices, and accordingly – for heat will not affect the amount of payment for utility services for those who have a subsidy.
«The family will continue to pay its share. The rest will be paid by the state.,» the Head of Government emphasized.
Groysman also recalled that all social services were instructed to address people’s problems as carefully as possible.
«The main criterion is the people’s income. If it is not high, people will get support,» noted Groysman.
As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko instructed government to expand subsidies program due to higher gas prices.
