Book about Ukrainians in American cinema was presented in the capital

Actor, director and journalist Stanislav Suknenko presented in Kyiv a book about Ukrainians in American cinema «To Hollywood from Ukraine» writes Ukrinform.

«I love cinema and I do it all my life. Therefore, it was strange to me that when you study history of world cinema and see how many people were involved, very little is written about it. They write about five, a maximum of ten people. Therefore, at some point, I began to think about how to understand the scale of participation of our compatriots. And it turned out to be a real iceberg», said Suknenko.

The book was the result of the 10-year work and research of Suknenko on Ukrainian roots of hundreds of prominent figures of American cinema.
It is reported that the publication was published with support of Ministry of Information Policy. To attract as many readers as possible abroad, book was released in English version.
In the writer’s plans – to prepare the second volume of book, where the journalist will write about Ukrainians in European cinema.
