An unique musical sculpture was erected in the Kyiv downtown. This is reported by Kyiv Vechirniy news agency.
The tenth mini-sculpture in the shape of a gramophone was installed on Rognedinskaya St., Kyiv.

«The small gramophone has appeared on the front of the Pervak restaurant. The mini-sculptures depicting symbols of the capital are installed throughout city center within the framework of the «Search!» project. Each sculpture has its own QR code, which helps to find out the details of the history and legends of the city,» the message says.

According to Yulia Bevzenko, the author of the project, the gramophone was some sort of «raisin» of our city in the beginning of the twentieth century.

«A Czech named Heinrich-Ignatius Ignatievich Jindříšek has opened a record store in Kyiv. Together with one German he decided to build a factory and a record company. Later, their gramophones and records began to spread actively throughout the city,» said Yulia Bevzenko.

The report notes that an interesting feature of the sculpture is the button, after pushing on which the gramophone starts to play the anthem of the Ukraine’s capital «How can I not to love you, my Kyiv?»
It is planned to install twelve sculptures: the remaining two are kept in secret.
As The Journalist reported, memorial to Holodomor victims was erected in largest city of Canada.
