Ivan Franko’s memorial plaque was stolen in the center of Lviv

A report on the fact of vandalism was received by law enforcement agencies on June 28th. About this reports «Vgolos» with reference to the commentary of Svitlana Dobrovolska, press secretary of Lviv region National Police.

It is reported that unknown people stole a memorial plaque dedicated to writer Ivan Franko which was on the wall of the house located on Solomiya Krushelnytska Street in the center of Lviv. In this house Ukrainian writer and politician lived in 1878-1879.
An investigation is under way.

Earlier «Journalist» reported that in the Lviv region vandals were detained, which repulsed the head of the monument to Shevchenko.
