Ukraine has tested modernized drone

Modernized unmanned aerial complex Spectator-M1 has successfully passed state tests at one of the military grounds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces of Ukraine), the press service of Ukroboronprom reported.
The Spectator-M1 was upgraded with new thermal imager, a sophisticated control station, as well as its weight was reduced.

"The UAV was created in cooperation with the specialists of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, who confirmed their high qualifications," said in a statement.

During the tests Spectator-M1 completed tasks as close as possible to the action area. In particular, drone is able to perform tasks in the face of active opposition from enemy.

“Practical Spectator-M1 ceiling is 3,600 meters, with a cruise speed of 120 km/h (speed at which the task is performed – 70 km/h). The drone may perform tasks in the air for over 2 hours. The complex is capable of transmitting digital coded video; its range of flight is up to 150 km,” the message says.
