Kherson watermelon can be the next product with a protected geographical indication, said Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Olha Trofymtseva.

“Kherson watermelon has every chance of becoming a product with a protected geographical indication,” Trofymtseva said.
It is noted that the founding conference of the Association of Kherson Watermelon Producers was held on February 12 in Kherson.
Seven founding organizations represent melon growing, exporting and research. In the near future, the constituent documents of Association will be submitted for state registration.
