Large starch potato processing plant was built in the village of Novyi Bilous (Chernihiv Oblast). This is reported by Ukraine Now inform agency.
It is reported that PBP «Vimal» opened the third plant, but this one is the largest starch potato processing plant in Ukraine capable to process potatoes into starch with a capacity of 1200 tons of raw materials per day.
«The plant was built with the technical support of the Danish company SiccaDania, and it became one of the most modern industrial facility in Europe,» said in a statement.
The report notes that the starch will meet with all European standards, as well as certified by the main advanced global quality and safety management systems of products.
A significant part of the new plant’s production will be exported to the European Union.
According to management, the company plans to launch in 2020 a plant that will produce protein from potato juice, dry potato fiber and liquid organic fertilizer.
