In Ukraine, on August 8th, Signal-Corps Day is celebrated. The corresponding decree was signed by the second president of Ukraine Leonyd Kuchma on February 1st, 2000 reports 112.Ukraine.
Authorities of the country congratulated the communicators on their professional holiday. Also, servicemen-signalers were congratulated by the commander of the Joint Forces Operation Serhiy Nayev, the press service of the headquarters of the JFO.
«Dear military friends, signal warriors, on my own behalf and the personnel of the United forces, I congratulate you on the professional holiday – Signal-Corps Day. Without a reliable, clear connection in modern conditions, the existence of an army is impossible. Thank you for the courage, heroic performance of duties, military valor and courage. I am convinced that you will continue to be an example of high professionalism and patriotism», the message says.
For his part, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko emphasized heroism of servicemen, and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman thanked the signalmen for their loyal service.
