In Ukraine, five people died from the flu

Since the beginning of the epidemiological season in Ukraine, 13 people have died from the flu. About this reports the press service of the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health Health.

From the very beginning, the new, in 2019, five Ukrainians died from complications caused by influenza virus type A. In total, their number reaches 13 from October 2018, from the beginning of this epidemic season.

“From October 1, 2018 to January 6, 2019, 2439032 people were registered in Ukraine who had flu and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). Now epidemic thresholds are exceeded in two oblasts: Kyiv (by 2.8%) and Zhytomyr (by 7%). In Ukraine as a whole, the incidence is 17.6% less than the epidemic threshold,” the press service of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health informs.
