As a result of an agreement between Ukrainian firm Rengy Development and the Norwegian company Scatec Solar, new generation power stations will be built in the south of Ukraine. About this informs Scatec Solar.

As it became known, € 52 million is needed to implement the project. The stations will produce about 58 GWh per year. The new three stations will operate according to the «green tariff» established in Ukraine for 10 years.

Financing for the project will be taken from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) by the end of the year, and the start of operation of the stations is planned in 2019.

The Norwegian company, in addition to owning 51% of the project, will be the supplier of engineering, procurement and construction services, and will provide operation and maintenance services and asset management services in power plants.

Earlier Journalist reported that a biomass power plant has started operating in Kamianets-Podilskyi.
