Forum of Ukrainian Diaspora Youth «Kiev 2018» will be held in Ukraine

The Forum of Ukrainian Diaspora Youth «Kiev 2018» will be held in Kiev on August 24 – 29.
The organizers of the event are the World Congress of Ukrainian Youth Organizations (SKUMO) in conjunction with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, as well as the Kyiv Youth Center.
It is expected that the guests from more than thirty countries will visit forum, including representatives of Ukrainian Diaspora youth and Ukraine, representatives of Government, Ministries and departments, European MPs and others.

«The Ukrainian Diaspora is now the largest lobbyist of Ukrainian interests in the world. It is extremely important for us to maintain the connection between Ukrainian Diaspora and Ukraine. We do our best to ensure that Ukrainians abroad always have reliable information about the situation in the country. We are very pleased to gather representatives of the Diaspora from all over the world for the exchange of experience, information and contacts,» – said Anna Krysiuk, the deputy president of the SKUMO.

It should be noted that among the honorable guests of the Forum are: the third President of Ukraine, European MPs, the Head of the EU Delegation in Ukraine, the Minister of Education of Greece, the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the USA, the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Poland, the President of the Spanish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, the Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine and Ukrainian authorities.
The forum will consist of two parts – unofficial (Aug 24-26) and official (Aug 27-29). Within the first part, various trainings, seminars, meetings and excursions are planned to be held. A plenary session, meetings of the congressional committee, work in sections and panel discussions are included into the official part of the Forum.

«We plan not only to gather the youth of the Diaspora or discuss existing problems and opportunities for interaction, but also to hold a fair of public organizations where each of the participants will be able to join the implementation of grant projects in Ukraine, get acquainted with foreign partners and become part of the team that will work on development of Ukraine,» – said Anna Kutsenko, the director of the Kyiv Youth Center.

The given opportunity for Ukrainian public organizations to establish partnership relations with foreign colleagues may attract additional investment in Ukraine in the future.

The forum is held with the support and assistance of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, the Kyiv City Administration.
