Ukraine sharply reduced production of cars

The management of the PJSC Eurocar has stated that production of cars at the enterprise was sharply reduced. The reason is because of reducing the volume of assembly. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrautoprom association.
The source reports that the decline in production can be traced by comparing the indicators of the past and current years.
It is noted that in July compared to June, the production of motor vehicles in Ukraine decreased by 67%. In total, 221 vehicles were produced last month.
Such a negative trend was formed due to a sharp decline in the volume of the large-bore assembly at the Eurocar plant (Zakarpattia Oblast), which is the only enterprise operating this year in the car segment of the domestic auto industry.

«The company has assembled only 150 cars for a month, which is 2 times less than a year earlier, and almost 4 times less than its June output. The production of trucks last month amounted to only 5 units, which is 10 times less than a year ago. The bus manufacturers produced 66 cars per month, which is 8 units more than in July 2017, and at the same time 11 cars less than the June figures. In total, since the beginning of the year, 4,074 units of vehicles were manufactured in Ukraine, which is 1.4% less than in the same period last year,» – the report said.
