Director of the Department of counteraction to customs offences and International Cooperation of the SFS Vasyl Poezd said that the export of fuelwood has decreased almost 2 times in July this year compared with June. This is reported by UNN news agency.
According to the Director of the Department, the indicator of registration of fuel wood for export has decreased over last month in Ukraine.
It is noted that 84.3 thousand tons of fuelwood was exported in June, and in July this amount was reduced to almost 46 thousand tons.
«Such a sharp decline indicates the closure of the channels of illegal timber exports and the effective work of the SFS. The SFS Customs will continue to implement all necessary control measures provided by the current legislation to prevent violations related to the export of timber,» – said Vasyl Poezd.
