The head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency, Serhiy Savruk, said that there are already 7,500 solar power plants in Ukraine. This was reported by Hromadske news agency.
According to Savruk, there were 20 home solar power plants in 2014 in Ukraine, whereas in 2018 there are 7,500 of them.
“The family independently satisfies its electricity needs thanks to its own solar power station, saves its budget and also earns by selling excess energy to the grid,” the report says.
Due to the fact that the production of solar panels in the world become cheaper, it contributes to the growth of home power plants in Ukraine.
According to Savruk, it is expected that several thousand of new home solar power plants will be installed during 2019 in Ukraine.
