Mobile operator Kyivstar, together with the city council of Ivano-Frankivsk, launched the first in Ukraine service of SMS-payment for travel in transport, the press service of the company Kyivstar reports.
So, Ivano-Frankivsk became the first city in Ukraine, which will receive payment for travel in public transport by SMS. However, in the near future, residents and other cities will be connected to the service.
«Payment of fare in transport by SMS firstly, it is very simple: send the route code, get confirmation of payment – that’s all. Secondly, this service can be further extended to other areas of city life: payment for parking, payment of utility bills, selling tickets to theaters, cinemas, museums, etc. And thirdly, with SMS payments, the need to print paper tickets is reduced», reported in the Kyivstar company.
As reported by The Journalist, in Ukraine, mobile operators have changed conditions of their tariffs.
