In Ukraine Law No. 2427-VIII came into force «On the use of human anatomy transplantation» which will be enforced from 1 January 2019.

According to the new law, every person during life can agree to posthumous donation or refuse it. If desired, you can make a note of this in the driver’s passport / ID. It is noteworthy that its decision can be changed and only the last by date will be valid. Also, according to the law, each person has the opportunity to choose a trusted person who, after death, promulgates the consent or prohibition of a potential donor for transplantation of his organs. In case of death of a minor, the permission for transplantation will be asked from parents or other legal representatives.
According to the law, it is forbidden to seize anatomical materials from the dead veterans of the ATO and the JOF; children-orphans; recognized as incompetent, as well as people whose identity is not established. Also, they will not be able to use the bodies of the deceased, if no one can ask for permission.

Earlier, the «Journalist» reported that the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on organ transplantation.
