Ukrainian-American military exercise «Sea Breeze – 2018» were completed in the Odesa, Mykolaiv regions and the northwestern part of the Black Sea. Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Igor Voronchenko, has arrived at the closing ceremony of the coastal component.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
It is reported that the ship crews marched about 2,500 miles in the sea, the aviators carried out more than 200 flights with a total flight time of about 105 hours, the marines performed more than 400 skydiving jumps, half of them were at night, and 60 on water, divers were underwater for 70 hours.
«In a complex military and strategic situation, our partners from 19 countries at the highest level have resolutely shown support for Ukraine. We continue the good practice of maritime friendship and partnership, which have become stronger with the years,» – Mr Voronchenko noted.
As The Journalist reported earlier, as part of the Sea Breeze international military exercises, a US Marine reservists platoon together with Ukrainian marines conducted exercises to attack an imaginary enemy.
