The Verkhovna Rada have passed the law No. 3131, which allows selling state-owned enterprises to employees. The law was supported by 243 MPs, 112.Ukraine news agency reports.
For the enterprises, whose shares are 100% state-owned, it is onerous to contain a property that is not subject to alienation, therefore, should be allowed to transfer housing to employees of such institutions.
The bill provides amendments to the law «On the management of state property». When finalizing it for the second reading, it was clarified that housing is alienated by sale, which is carried out in fulfillment of the terms of collective agreements concluded without applying competitive principles.
«We are talking only about those people who are now living in departmental housing, and we give the right leadership, thus that these people can be satisfied. They have been waiting for years for this decision,» – commented the Head of the Committee on economic policy, Andrii Ivanchuk, during the discussion of the document.
