In Lviv during the construction work on the construction of the hotel was violated the procedure for issuing permits. This is reported by citizens protesters against the building reports «112 Ukraine».
« The inhabitants have no protection within the walls of the city council. The procedures of public hearings are violated, conciliation commissions are not created. The interests of residents are put on the third or even the tenth place after the interests of people with money, said activist of the «NGO Development of the Community» Vladimir Beno.
It is noted that the developer intends to build a hotel on a communal land of 18 hectares. The protesters say that the rules for issuing town-planning conditions and restrictions were violated: this should be done by the management of the city’s architecture and urban planning, but it is issued by the executive committee. Thus, according to the activists, the destruction of Lviv’s historic center is accelerating.
