Lviv City Council plans to limit the use of disposable plastic bags in Lviv’s retail chains as much as possible. The draft decision will be considered by the executive committee of the Lviv city council. This is reported by Zaxid.net inform agency.
It is noted that it will be recomended to the owners of supermarkets and shops to offer consumers an alternative to disposable plastic bags. Also the customer’s loyalty programs should be developed in order to popularize the use of reusable bags. The special explanatory lectures should be made in educational institutions regarding the negative impact of the plastic packaging on the environment.
It is noted that the Department of Economic Development of Lviv City Council should create disposals sites for plastic bags.
