It is reported that the government supported the draft presidential decree "On the creation of a national natural park "Boykivshchyna." In this connection, a new national natural park will appear in the Turkovskiy district of Lviv obalst.
According to Minister of Ecology, the park will occupy 12,240 hectares of land of state and communal property.
“The conservation status of these territories is a matter of preserving the old-growth forests of Ukrainian Carpathians. In addition, this area is interesting as a future scientific testing ground for monitoring and developing effective measures for the conservation of rare plant and animal species,” said Semerak.
