The so-called «early elections» in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas will not create any legal consequences and will not be recognized either by Ukraine or by the world community. This was stated by Darka Olifer, the spokeswoman for Ukraine’s second president and the country’s representative in the TCG, Leonid Kuchma, on Facebook.
«The so-called «early elections» in ORDLO grossly violate obligations of Russia as a party to the Minsk accords. If the fake «elections» will be conducting, their results will be illegitimate and will not be recognized either by Ukraine or the world community,» – Olifer wrote.
The speaker noted that the expression of will in the Donbas can happen only in accordance with the Minsk agreements – on Ukrainian legislation, with the participation of Ukrainian political parties and the media, in compliance with OSCE standards and under the supervision of international observers.
«Ukraine committed to a peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas on the basis of the Minsk agreements,» – said the Spokeswoman.
As The Journalist reported, UN peacekeepers can be deployed in Ukraine not earlier than in 10 months after relevant decision.
