Roman Tokar became the new prosecutor of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said this at the operational meeting of the regional prosecutors, Ukrinform reports.
Lutsenko said that the previous regional prosecutor Viktor Matviychuk was elected a member of the Supreme Council of Justice.
“I think this is a high assessment of him as a person and professional, a prosecutor, and I would like to express my gratitude for the serious results he achieved during his time as the head of the Dnipropetrovsk prosecutor’s office. And before appointing a new prosecutor of the oblast, I consulted with the previous one, and on his recommendation, it was decided to appoint Roman Mykolaevich Tokar as prosecutor of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast,” Lutsenko said.
Yuriy Lutsenko noted that the new prosecutor of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast come his professional way from assistant prosecutor of one of the districts of the Dnipro city to the deputy prosecutor of the Oblast, and had established himself as a good organizer and principled leader.
As The Journalist reported, Lutsenko sees no reason to write a resignation letter.
