1,108 law enforcers deceased on duty over 27 years in Ukraine

Over the 27 years of Ukraine’s independence, 1,108 law enforcement officers passed away while on duty. This was reported by the Head of the National Police of Ukraine Serhiy Knyazev, 112 Ukraine news agency reports.

«Over the years of independence, 1108 law enforcers deceased, protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens. In order the streets to be peaceful, in order children can run and play, so that the society understands that the law enforcement system is the only reliable and irreplaceable authority that ensures public order and protects the constitutional order of the state. Unfortunately, the daily struggle against crime leads to losses among the law enforcement agencies,» – the report said.

Note that today, on August 22, the memory of the policeman who was shot dead during the shooting incident near the Kharkiv City Administration on August 20, was honored.
As The Journalist reported earlier, in Kyiv Oblast, a driver of the minibus beat the policeman, who committed the violation of traffic rules.
