Head of the Tourism and Promotion Department of the Kyiv City State Administration Anton Taranenko said that the number of international tourists visiting Kiev reached 850,000 in the first half of 2018, which is 24% more than the same period in 2017. He posted this on his Facebook page.

«850 thousand international tourists visited Kiev in the first six months. This is 24% more than in the previous period in 2017 and 26% – than in 2013,» – the report said.

The official has illustrated infographics showing that more often Kiev is visited by tourists from Belarus, Israel, USA, Germany, Turkey, Great Britain, Azerbaijan, Italy, France and Georgia.

«I think that we can talk about gradually recovering of the tourist sphere of the city and growing of the tourist flow!» – said Taranenko.
