Militants launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian positions in JFO area over past day

On October 18, the Russian backed militants shelled Ukrainian army positions 16 times in the east of Ukraine, two times using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements. It is reported by the press center of the operation of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ on its page on Facebook.

The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions in the area of the settlements of the Krymske, Luhanske, Nevelske, Novomykhaylivka, Stepne, Chermalyk, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodyane and Lebedynske.
The Ukrainian fortified positions near Novomykhailivka were attacked with 120-mm mortar. The occupiers resorted to 120mm mortars to shell the Ukrainian positions in the area of Chermalyk. The defenders of Lebedynske came under the fire of the anti-tank guided missiles.
«No casualties among the Ukrainian troops have been reported over the past day.. According to intelligence data, two enemy soldiers were killed and four were wounded,» – the message says.
