Militants shelled Ukrainian army positions 24 times over past day

Over the past 24 hours, on August 22, Militants launched 24 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area, using heavy weapons. As a result of the fight, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded. This is reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation HQ on Facebook.

The militants opened aimed fire from the weapons installed on the infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, and in certain areas using 82-mm and 120-mm mortars and 122-mm artillery. The shelled the areas of Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, Yekaterynivka, Opytne, Pisky, Maryinka, Starohnativka, Hnutove, Pavlopil, Lebedynske and Vodiane.
Near the Hnutove militants shelled Ukrainian positions from 122-mm artillery. Also, the enemy used 120-mm mortars in the Krymske and 82-mm mortars near the town of Pisky.
As a result of the fighting, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded.
