Militants opened fire on Ukrainian army positions 24 times over past day: wounded reported

Over the past 24 hours, Russian occupation forces opened fire on the Ukrainian army positions in the Joint Force Operation zone 24 times, four times using weapons proscribed under the Minsk Peace Agreements. This is reported by the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation (JFO) on Facebook.

«Over the past day, June 25, the situation in the area of the operation of the United forces remains controllable. I In the evening, the Russian occupation forces intensified fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. In other sectors of Ukraine’s defense lines militants using weapons banned by the Minsk accords», – the message said.

In the Luhansk sector, the enemy used 120-mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms near the village of Krymske. In addition, enemy activity was recorded near the settlements of Luhanske and Zolote.
In the Donetsk sector, the enemy used 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms against the defenders of the settlments of Avdiyivka and Kruta Balka. The defenders of the towns of Maryinka, Kamianka and Verkhniotoretske came under enemy aimed fire.
In the Mariupol sector, the Russian-backed mercenaries deployed grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns and small arms. The enemy shelled the Joint Forces units positions the near the settlements of Lebedynske, Hnutove, Shyrokyne, Pavlopil and Starohnativka.
It is noted that in a result of combat, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
In turn, according to intelligence reports, which need clarification, two Russian-backed militants were killed, three other were wounded.
As «The Journalist» reported earlier, during the day militants violated ceasefire 20 times, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
