On October 8, the militants launched 36 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area. As a result, three Ukrainian soldiers were injured. It is reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation HQ on its official Facebook page.
«Russian invaders shelled Ukrainian positions 36 times, 12 times using weapons, banned by the Minsk agreements… Three soldiers of the United Forces were wounded during the fight,» – the report says.
It is noted that the militants attacked JFO positions near the settlements of Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Katerynivka, Stepne, Troyitske, Lughanske, Travneve, Avdiyivka, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomikhaylivka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodyane, Lebedynske, and Shyrokyne.
«The JFO positions in the area of the Krymske, Luhanske, Vodyane and Lebedynske came under 120-mm mortars fire. The fortified positions of our [Ukrainian] troops near the Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Luhanske and Travneve were shelled with 82-mm mortars. The defenders of Shyrokyne were attacked from an ZU-23-2 AA gun. The defenders of Novotoshkivskye, Troyitske, Vodyane and Lebedynske, were fired from the armament of IFVs,» – the report says.
