Over the past 24 hours, June 7, militants fired at United Forces Operation positions 37 times in Donbas, 12 times using heavy weapons. Four Ukrainian soldiers were injured. This is reported by the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation (JFO) on Facebook.
«Over the past day, Russian-led militants violated ceasefire regime 37 timed, 10 times using weapons banned by Minsk accords, namely 120-mm and 82-mm mortars and 2-times 122-mm artillery», – the message said.
In the Luhansk sector, militants were most active near the villages of Krymske and Novotoshkivske, where the enemy used mortars and tank shells four times during the day. In the Horlivka sector fighting continued near the village of Zaitseve.
In the Donetsk sector fighting continued near the village of Kamianka. The situation escalated in the Mariupol sector near the villages of Vodiane and Lebedynske. The enemy launched at least 85 mines and shells in the last day.
«To prevent the enemy from advancing toward our positions and suppressing their firing points, units of the Joint Forces conducted an active defense and gave an adequate response to the enemy, firmly holding ground», – JFO HQ staff reported.
According to intelligence data, one enemy soldier was killed and two others were wounded.
