Over the past day, August 12, militants shelled Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area 57 times in Donbas. As a result, two servicemen were injured. This is reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation HQ on Facebook.
Russian occupation troops opened aimed fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, and in separate directions from the armament of infantry fighting vehicles and anti-tank guided missiles.
Shellings were carried out on the defenders of the settlements of Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Svitlodarsk, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Zaitseve, Pivdenne, Maiorsk, Marinka, Mykolaivka, Opytne, Avdiivka, Novotroitsky, Novomikhailovka, Chermalyk, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodianee and Shyrokyne.
Along with this, the enemy fired from the 122-mm artillery on the defenders of Hnutove, and from the 120 and 82-mm mortars on our [Ukrainian] positions near the settlements of Krymske, Luhanske, Maiorsk, Zaitseve, Vodyane, Hnutove and Lebedynske. In the vicinity of the settlement Mykolaivka, the work of the enemy sniper group was detected.
As a result of the fighting, two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded.
