Over the past 24 hours, on May 21, illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire regime 53 times. In the result of combat action, two Ukrainian servicemen were killed and nine others were injured. Ukrainian military eliminated 15 militants. This was reported by the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation (JFO) on Facebook.

In the Lugansk area, militants were active near the settlements of Troyitske, and in the Donetsk sector combat actions were carried out in the areas of settlements Zaitseve, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Mayorsk, Shumy, Zalizne, Pivdenne, Novhorod, Avdiyivka, Mariinka and Novohnativka. Combat in Mariupol area continued in the settlements of Chermalyk, Vodyane and Shyrokyne.

«In general, during the day, militants violated the ceasefire regime 53 times. The enemy used 122-mm artillery, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars 30 times », – the report said.

Counter-sniper measures were used near Avdiyivka and Mariinka, after which the shelling of Ukrainian positions ceased.
According to the intelligence, 15 militants of the Russian-terrorist troops were killed and 13 were wounded.
