According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, Ukrainians owed 40 billion UAH for utility services as of May 31, 2018.
It is reported that the largest amounts of debts among the population were for the natural gas supply.
The debt for central heating, compared with the debt in April 2018, decreased by 7.5%, and amounted to UAH 12.3 billion.
«As of end of May, 2018, the population’s arrears in payment for natural gas amounted to UAH 17.1 billion; for centralized heating and hot water supply – UAH 12.3 billion; for maintenance of houses, structures and adjacent territories – UAH 3.7 billion; for centralized supply of cold water and drainage – UAH 2.5 billion; for export household waste – UAH 0.5 billion, for electricity – UAH 3.9 billion,» – the report said.
It is noted that the population signed 31,2 thousand agreements on the restructuring of debts for the amount of UAH 200.4 million from January to May, 2018.
As «The Journalist» reported, Ukrainians owed a record UAH 42.7 billion for gas, heating and water.
