President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in a video has said that on Wednesday, March 18, another 40 flights will return Ukrainians to Ukraine from abroad.
According to the head of state, Ukrainian ambassadors and consuls are working around the clock to help all Ukrainians abroad; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Infrastructure are also fully mobilized.
“Yesterday [March 16 – ed.] 125 flights returned home 23,000 Ukrainians. Today [March 17 – ed.] – 50 flights and 10,000 Ukrainians. Another 40 flights are scheduled for tomorrow,” the president said.
The head of state emphasized that the airports of Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Lviv accept Ukrainians.
Now the planes have returned from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Egypt, Israel, Spain, Qatar, Moldova, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand and Turkey.
Zelensky turned to Ukrainians who plan to return to Ukraine by their own car or bus to read carefully the restrictions in the countries through which their route will run and the mode of operation of checkpoints on the state border of Ukraine.
