President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived on a working trip to Luhansk Oblast, and paid tribute to the victims of World War II. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

The President visited the memorial complex “Ukraine to the Liberators” in Melovoy and laid flowers near the Eternal Flame and also put icon lamps near the sculptural composition – a soldier taking off his headdress in front of the native land and a woman freed from Nazi captivity on his chest.

The pedestal looks like a dugout with the museum inside.

It is reported that next to the monument is a mass grave in which hundreds of known and unknown soldiers who died during the liberation of Milove settlement are buried.
