President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a briefing with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven has noted that he hopes for a large exchange of prisoners in Donbas before the end of the current year, the President’s Office reported on Facebook.

“I would very much like for our people to celebrate the New Year at home, with their families. Therefore, for me this is an important, humanitarian, very personal question. I hope for ‘all for all’ prisoners exchange. I’m interested in all of us being at home,” the head of state said.

Zelensky also stated his readiness to discuss at the Normandy Four summit the issue of elections in the occupied territories. However, he emphasized that this should happen in line with Ukrainian legislation.

Speaking about the communiqué of the upcoming meeting, the head of state noted that it was discussed back in September by representatives of all parties.
