The team of President Volodymyr Zelensky intented to reform the Prosecutor General’s Office, under which the department will be renamed into Office of the Prosecutor General, LB.ua reported.
The reform provides for a change in the name of the regional departments of the prosecutor’s office to the offices of regional prosecutors, and local ones to the district prosecutor’s offices.
It is also planned to create prosecutorial self-government bodies – the qualification and disciplinary commission of prosecutors and the Council of Prosecutors, which were created according to the international experts’ requirements.
The military prosecutor’s office will be liquidated.
