Zelensky invited Viber service owner to National Investment Council

Yesterday, on June 25 President Zelensky met with the founder of the Japanese company Rakuten, known as the owner of the Viber service, Hiroshi Mikitani, and invited him to join the National Investment Council. This is reported by the presidential press service.

During the meeting the parties discussed the issues of increasing presence of the Japanese company in Ukraine, namely, the expansion of Odesa office and opening a new office in Kyiv.

Hiroshi Mikitani stressed his readiness to support the idea of increasing the number of investment projects in Ukraine, as it is a priority market for the company.

He expressed a desire to cooperate with the “State in the smart phone” project, since Viber is an integral part of nearly every Ukrainian’s smart phone.

Earlier The Journalist reported that Ukraine’s President Zelensky changed the composition of the National Investment Council.
