President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora during his visit to New York to participate in the UN General Assembly, Ukrinform reported.
According to the President of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UKCA) Andriy Futey, Volodymyr Zelensky told about his plans on restoring the Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
“He assured us that his goal is to protect Ukrainian identity, Ukrainian territorial integrity, returning all Ukrainian territories, expelling the enemy that occupied Ukraine,” Futey said.
He also said that President Zelensky spoke about his vision of the role of the Ukrainian diaspora in communicating with the American authorities regarding the further development of Ukraine.
Zelensky also told about his expectations from a meeting with US President Donald Trump.
