Residents of Lviv, Odessa and Kharkiv convinced they are patriots

On the eve of the celebration of the 27th anniversary of Uraine’s Independence Day, the Social Monitoring Center together with the Ukrainian Institute for Social Research after Oleksandr Yaremenko have surveyed residents of Lviv, Odessa and Kharkiv. They were asked whether they consider themselves patriots. This is reported by Radio Liberty inform agency.
Affirmative answer sociologists received from 86% of the polled residents of Lviv, 64% of Odessa citizens and 62% of Kharkiv citizens.

«According to the poll, 85% of Lviv residents, 68% of respondents from Odessa and 65% of Kharkiv residents are proud to be Ukrainian sitizens. About 2% of polled Lviv residents, 10% of residents of Odessa and 8% of Kharkiv residents are not proud of being Ukrainians. According to the poll, residents of Lviv feel themselves more as citizens of Ukraine than city resident (59% and 26% respectively), at the same time Kharkiv and Odessa citizens perceive themselves more like residents of their city than citizens of Ukraine (45% and 39% respectively – in Kharkov and 43% and 38% – in Odessa),» – the report says.

It is known that experts conducted a survey between August 8 -13. The error margin is of +/-4.5%.
The interviewed respondents were aged 18, survey was conducted in the format of a personal kind.
