Many are concerned about the future of Ukraine, in particular in the labor market: increase of salaries, improvement of working conditions, bright future … This article is not about thinking about the future. Let’s talk about today and what happened in the first quarter of 2018 in the world of work. Company Jooble – site that helps to find work conducted a study and provided us data, indicating the situation as a whole.
For today in Ukraine there are more than 150 thousand open vacancies, of which about 42 thousand vacancies contain information on wages. From these data, the average wages can be determined. In this particular study there are 2 indicators: the arithmetic mean of the lowest boundary (salary from) and, respectively, the highest (salary up to). Scope data was very large: there were vacancies from 4 thousand to 135 thousand UAH per month. Nevertheless, the study showed that from January to March 2018, the average salary ranged from 11 thousand to 15 thousand 800 UAH per month. In many studies, it can be noted that the authors write one single indicator, which is extremely wrong: different industries, the range is too large to bring everything to one denominator.
