Today, “New Wave of Ukrainian Cinema” festival (Nouvelle vague du cinéma Ukrainien), which began on April 5, is coming to the end in French capital.

The French were introduced to the novelties of Ukrainian cinema, including the film “Anna” by Oles Sanin. “Anna” tells about the amazing adventures of French monks, who are sent on a secret mission to Ukraine – the homeland of Queen of France Anna de Kiev. The main roles in the film were performed by French actor Dominic Pinon (“Amelie”, “Delicatessen”, “City of Lost Children”) and Ukrainian actors Valeria Berezovska and Volodymyr Belyaev. Soundtrack to the film created by Oleg Skripka.
In addition to films, Ukrainian filmmakers presented the city of Paris with a sculpture of Anna de Kiev, the Queen of France. The presentation of the sculpture was carried out in the framework of the project “The Queen’s Way”, the project was initiated by Fyodor Balandin. Such sculptures are already in Kyiv, Toulouse and Krakow.
