Albrecht Durer exhibition opens in Kyiv

An exhibition of engravings by German artist and graphic artist Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) opens on April 12 in Kyiv at Bogdan and Varvara Khanenko Museum.

In the capital, more than 60 engravings will be seen from the collection of the Kharkov Art Museum: woodcuts from the Life of Mary cycle and copies of Durer’s contemporary Marcantonio Raimondi, made with an incisive technique, the title page of the Apocalypse series, rare art prints from the early period of the artist : “The Sea Monster”, the mysterious “The Four Witches” and “The Walk”, the series “The Small Passions”, portraits of intellectuals belonging to the late period of his work.

The exhibition runs until June 15 inclusive.
